Eyelash enhancers that make promises about longer, thicker eyelashes in a matter of days, have flooded the market to capture that niche segment of eyelash “deprived” clients. But their ingredients and effectiveness is not uniform and they are without any approval from institutions of repute.

Latisse is an eyelash enhancer with a difference. It is the only formulation approved by the FDA and can be bought as a prescription drug only. It has the ability to make eyelashes naturally longer and thicker.

It was invented as a treatment for a medical condition called hypotrichosis, in which patients have inadequate eyelashes that are too thin and is a 0.3% bimatprost ophthalmic solution and considered to be the perfect treatment for such a condition. It is prescribed by doctors for patients whose eyelashes start falling and becoming thin for a variety of reasons. It has been clinically tried and tested for its effectiveness and for safety. Its effectiveness is evident after four to sixteen weeks of regular use.

The gel must be applied after washing face thoroughly to remove all traces of make up and after drying eyelids thoroughly. It has to be applied in the same manner as an eyeliner that must touch only the upper eyelashes where the skin and eyelashes meet. Excess amounts of the formulation must be wiped off.

The gel is free from side effects or any reaction on the skin. It is a natural remedy that brings thick and long eyelashes and helps to dispense with the use of mascaras and false eyelashes. Hence it is the preferred choice of celebrities as well, since they can make their lashes naturally long and thick.

Latisse is strong enough to bring results with a single application everyday in a small amount. Scientific clearance about its safety makes it more authentic and since it is a prescription medicine, doctors vouch for its effectiveness. It can be applied with an eyeliner brush and left on the lashes.
