There will come a time when using fake eyelashes where you will need to remove the eyelash glue. You may have applied them to attend a party or go out for the night. The process to remove fake eyelashes is just as easy as applying them.

You should take them off before it is time for you to go to sleep. You can do this by utilizing a makeup remover or a warm towel. If the false eyelashes are reusable, leave them in a solution made for cleaning your eyes to keep them in good, sanitary condition.

TIP: It is vital that you do not pull the fake lashes from your eye lids, because you may pull out your own lashes or rip your skin in the process. It is also very important to never apply the glue directly on your eyelids, because it could get into your eye or cause you to glue your eye shut!

When you want to take off your artificial eyelashes, grasp the lash that is near your nose, and by the inside edge, pull it off slowly, moving in the direction of your ear.

You want to use a cotton swat to apply fake eyelash remover to your eyelids. To apply the eyelash remover, apply a small amount along your lash line. You want to apply it from the outside of your eye to the inside. If you do not have access to eyelash remover, you may use eye makeup remover to do the job.

After you are sure you have softened the glue completely, you need to gently grasp one end of the lash band and slowly remove it from your eyelid. If you are removing individual eyelashes, you will be wise to utilize a pair of tweezers.

You can also try using petroleum jelly to remove the lashes. This product will usually loosen the lashes enough to allow them to be removed by adding a little warm water. Many people just remove their lashes with soap and water. I have also heard that olive oil will loosen the eyelash glue.

You will be able to use your false lashes over and over again if you keep them clean and sterile. Always tore them in eye cleaning solution after you remove them and then wash them in soap and water. Every time you reapply them, clean them again to be sure that they are absolutely sterile when you apply them to your eyes.
